Neptune Retrograde 2019

NEOTUNERETRO

Neptune has joined the retrograde party! Find out how this transit shifts our life below. (Please click links provided in article)

What is a retrograde?

Retrograde is a time when the planet seems to be going “backwards”. When a planet is in retrograde, it’s energy is turned more inward. This causes the planets representation to not be as consciously seen as it normally would, which is why it is best to slow down and reflect/review whatever the planet represents during this time. Retrogrades can also form “chaos” to emphasize what we need to focus on within. (Ex: Mercury Retrograde miscommunication =  asking ourselves “How am I communicating with myself?”)

During these transits, we have the opportunity to notice situations we may manifest that we weren’t consciously aware of before.

Neptune in Pisces Retrograde

(June 21-November 27)

Due to Neptune being one of the outer planets, this transit won’t affect us as “in our face” as much as Mercury Retrogrades do. Neptune in astrology represents: dreams, illusions, fantasy, imagination, our higher self, and drugs. It rules Pisces, which is the last sign of the zodiac that represents spirit/higher self. During Neptune Retrogrades, illusions and fantasies we created that kept us out of touch with facing the truth of reality gets stripped away! The further you have been avoiding/running from your reality, the harder this transit will be for you. This transit may also reveal the source of the pain that you have been running away from. We must face ourselves and be honest with who we are, where we are, what we are doing, how we are living our lives, and why we are making certain decisions. The more we run, the larger the universe makes our lessons.

We are given a beautiful opportunity to combine the true core of our inner self with our ego (that sometimes feeds us lies when we aren’t being aware). Take this time to connect deeper with developing your connection with spirit.

This transit reminds me of a book I am currently reading called “The Untethered Soul” (thank you Sydney!) Here is some excerpts that aligns with this transit:

  • As you grow spiritually, you will realize that your attempts to protect yourself from your problems actually create more problems. If you attempt to arrange people, places, and things so they don’t disturb you, it will begin to feel like life is against you. You’ll feel like life is a struggle and that every day is heavy because you have to control and fight with everything.
  • Life is surrounding you with people and situations that stimulate growth. You don’t have to decide who’s right or wrong. You don’t have to worry about other people’s issues. You only have to be willing to open your heart in the face of anything and everything….
  • The prerequisite to true freedom is to decide that you do not want to suffer anymore.

Thank you for reading. What are ways that you like to connect to your spirit? Comment below 🙂

Astrology: Connecting with the Aries New Moon

It’s new moon season, the best time for planting seeds for the future. The moons placement is in Aries, the first fire sign that focuses on willpower/self.

What is an Aries New Moon?

The moons placement is in Aries, a cardinal fire sign. Aries is a sign that reflects the spark of a new beginning . Aries season begins during Spring, when the weather warms and plants begin to blossom. Aries cardinal energy allows it to easily take action and lead, making it a sign that easily accomplishes what is desired.

What transits are happening?

Alpheratz star is in conjunct with the moon, giving us a spark of independence, wealth, promotion, love, and business success.

Saturn in Capricorn squares New Moon, adding possible challenges and tests. They may manifest as either inner challenges (low self esteem, depression, pessimism) or outer challenges (duties and responsibilities).

Asteroid Vibilia is also joining the new moon party. This energy represents enlightenment, understanding, and contentment.

How do I connect to this energy?

Aries is the first fire sign, fire signs represent willpower, self (identity), and the ego. At this time, it is best to go deeper within ourselves for what it is we truly want. During Aries new moons is the best time .

This transit is an opportunity to start a new beginning on what it means to be our “self”. Shedding what does not reflect our truth, so we can magnify what does.

Saturn squaring the moon will manifest situations in which we must show that we really want this new reality for ourselves, the wealth, happiness, and success that the star Alpheratz brings may not come easy.

However, focusing on wealth, happiness, and success with confidence brings the Aries energy of courage and spark that will bring these to manifestation.

It is helpful to ask ourselves questions such as:

  • How does a life of wealth, happiness, and success look for me?
  • Are these goals what I truly want? Or someone else’s want?
  • What parts of me are holding myself back?
  • How does my highest self express (him/her)self?

Answering these questions with truth brings a reality of truth. It is our responsibility to be honest with ourselves, that is the only way we can manifest what our souls desire in life.

May your dance with the moon allow you to blossom like flowers during Spring, and increase the warmth within your heart. LETS LIVE OUR DREAMS!!

How to Survive the Triple Retrogrades

DundunDDDDUUUUNNN… just kidding. 🙂 April showers bring May flowers, and three planets in retrogrades. Though it sounds intimidating, this blog post will surely get us prepared for what’s coming!

Jupiter Retrograde

April 10 – August 11 (Jupiter in Sagittarius)

Jupiter represents our faith/belief/philosophies in life. It is also the planet that brings us luck and expansion. Jupiter also represents abundance and good fortune.

During Jupiter Retrogrades:

  • Situations may happen that test if we are ready to receive good fortune and the amount of wealth that is desired.
  • Take extra time, make sure everything is in order when it comes to self growth
  • Brings us awareness to whatever greed/addiction we may have
  • **WHAT DO YOU BELIEVE IN/FEEL IS TRUE? HOW IS THAT AFFECTING YOUR LIFE?** (i.e believing you’re”broke” = results in you never having enough money in life)

Saturn Retrograde

April 29/30 – September 18 (Saturn in Capricorn)

Saturn represents restrictions, obstacles, boundaries, responsibilities, and discipline. It is the planet that helps us build our inner pyramids. Pyramids are special because they survive all weather. Saturn shows us how to stay strong and that we are beyond Saturn’s obstacles (weather).

During Saturn Retrograde:

  • May be tested to see if we are ready to take more responsibility
  • Activity may be slowed for strategy/method improvement
  • We have a chance to say “No” in the areas of our lives that we mistakenly said “Yes”, chance to back out of certain commitments (i.e a project)
  • Fear/Anxiety/Insecurity/Frustration are likely to happen. Slowing down and other techniques can prevent this.
  • Weed out the source of frustration
  • Lessons that align with past imbalances and great decisions may appear
  • **FIGURE OUT WHAT NEEDS TO BE CHANGED TO LIVE A SUCCESSFUL LIFE**

Pluto Retrograde

April 24 – October 3 (Pluto in Capricorn)

Pluto is the planet that represents the shadows of life. It also represents transformation // the wonderful dance of life and death (endings and beginnings) Whenever I share Pluto’s energy, I like to compare it to a tree. Trees are in this constant cycle of shedding leaves in the winter, just for leaves to blossom in the spring. Similarly, we release parts of ourselves, so that we can blossom in our true ways of being. Pluto teaches us that to fully blossom and transform, we must be honest to ourselves about who we are and facing the discomfort.

During Pluto Retrogrades:

  • Reflect (Positive/Negatives of life, past decisions & outcomes, what you are still holding onto that is not serving you anymore)
  • Embrace the darkness.. “You can run, but you can’t hide!” (Pluto was named after the God of the Underworld, Hades) We all have a dark side, however some of us face it while others push it away. Being aware of who we truly are within is key in transformation.
  • Look at how power and control is shown in our lives. (Are we using power and control for manipulation or betterment?)
  • **WHAT DO I NEED TO CHANGE/TRANSFORM TO BE WHO I TRULY AM?**

After these retrogrades, we will be prosperous beings who have aligned our beliefs to what serves us, done the work that’s needed for success, and went through deep changes!  Who’s ready for April?

The Power of Intention

Can we all take a moment of silence for how breathtaking Solange is? Her latest album inspired me to share how powerful setting intentions are. Let’s begin!

What is intention?

According to Merriam Webster, Intention is:

  • A determination to act in a certain way/resolve
  • Import/significance
  • What one intends to do or bring about

This basically means, that intention is establishing what we want to do with our energy. Intention is what brings different results from the same action.

An example of this is someone shaving their hair with the intention of shedding their past, while someone else shaves their hair just because. It’s the same action, yet it brings different energetic results.

Why is intention important?

Using intentions are like planting seeds, they get you to your destination without needing to get the full details. It’s a great way to manifest what you want in your life.

Tapping into our intentions allows us to figure out our soul’s desires, guiding us to what we truly want. Every action we take has an intention whether we are aware or not. Taking ourselves to having intentions for a lifestyle that we want, brings transformations.

How do I set an intention?

5221226_orig
Alex Grey

To know what intentions you want to set, being aware of your values and perspectives on life helps. Also, using positive focus rather than negative (ex: I want to stop feeling scared – I want to feel brave) allows your mind to focus on what you actually want to manifest.

What’s amazing about intentions, is they bring awareness that we can choose how we want to feel and have full control over what we focus on in any experience.

You may set an intention at any moment: before meditation, writing an intention before bed, as soon as you wake up, before meeting with someone, or even before making a decision.

Here’s how to set an intention to manifest:

  1. Clear your energy/raise your vibration. (meditate, sage, epsom salt bath, whatever helps you align yourself to your center) This allows your intentions to be aligned with your soul’s desires.
  2. Create a ritual. (Do something that makes you feel inspired and connected to creative energy/joy)
  3. Write down intentions. (Be specific) The more specific you are, the more the universe can bring exactly what you truly desire.  The universe is our genie!
  4. Be creative. (Go beyond what you’ve already experienced) Life is filled with limitless possibilities. Remember this as you write down your intentions.
  5. Visualize. Truly feel as if you already are experiencing your intention. Even set a time for when you would like for it to happen!
  6. Release. Release your intention and move on with your day. It is already becoming true.
  7. **Bonus** Reflect. It is great to reflect and share gratitude for the moments in life when we accomplished what we set ourselves to do. We are amazing!

You can also set intentions to bring results out of any situation. (Ex: Waking up in the morning and setting the intention to have an amazing day)

Here’s how to set an intention at any moment:

  1. Take deep breaths and balance your energy.
  2. Focus on what you would like to feel and experience.
  3. Turn your intention into a mantra.
  4. Visualize.
  5. Release and continue your day!

Conclusion

The best things about intention, is they are our foundations. They help to ground us whenever we feel lost or unsure of our place in life. Remembering our intention gives our life purpose.

So remember,

DO NOTHING WITHOUT INTENTION <3

I love you.
